The team at NKM First Aid + Test & Tag (NKM) are on the front line of defence in supporting your business with health and safety requirements.
We provide a variety of services including first aid training, first aid kit supply, fire extinguisher inspection & installation, exit & emergency sign testing and defibrillator servicing & training.
Over time we realised that there was an increasing need for first aid training in Victoria and so we established NKM in 2009 with the aim of providing invaluable and affordable first aid training to employees in the corporate world, workplace and voluntary organisations.
At NKM we offer fully accredited first aid training.
The code of practice referred to in the “Safe Work Australia First Aid in the Workplace” written by Workplace Australia is an approved code under section 274 of the WHS Act (Workplace Health and Safety). This requires that in Victoria, all workplaces must at least meet the minimum first aid requirements for first aiders on the site and suggests that after their initial training those qualified in first aid need to update their skills every three years (CPR every 12 months).
Our first aid courses include hands-on training and assessment and delivers first aid skills to participants in a friendly and concise manner. At NKM our trainers have the experience and knowledge to guide you through the modules of our first aid course and help them develop the skills and knowledge required to deliver efficient and effective first aid. First Aid Courses
Our courses cover a broad range of topics enabling participants to manage emergency situations with confidence and provide first aid to a casualty. Some workplaces require a specific number of people to have successfully completed certain qualifications.
Resuscitation Council guidelines suggest that first aid skills are renewed every three years and CPR skills every year.
We provide the following courses:
HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support.
HLTAID011 Provide first aid course
HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and Care setting
Participants need to have basic skills in English language, literacy and numeracy.
If under 18 years of age you will also be required to provide parent consent.
